Airline travel across the U.S. has been unpredictable and frustrating over the past weeks.
Severe weather from Hurricane Debby caused significant delays and cancellations at Boston Logan International Airport. Boston Logan ended up as the landing pad for as many as 25 international flights and others flying out of New York, New Jersey, and Washington D.C. that were forced to ground on Sunday.
Some passengers told NBC Boston they were stuck on planes for up to six hours, while others had to sleep in the airport due to sold out hotels.
Hurricane Debby made landfall Monday morning in Florida as a Category 1 storm. Boston expects to experience remnants of the hurricane with rain showers throughout the remainder of the week. Numerous flights are delayed or canceled at Boston Logan.
Boston Logan issued a weather advisory Monday morning via X, urging airline passengers to check the status of their flights as travel plans continue to be uncertain while Hurricane Debby takes its course.
