Photos: April showers — and snow — pelt Bostonians and blow things over during surprise nor’easter
Heavy rain and winds hit parts of Massachusetts and New York today, some of it turning into snow.

After days of warmer weather, a shocking nor’easter struck Massachusetts Wednesday.
And all over the internet, people have captured moments in the storm. The high winds coupled with fierce rain, and in some cases sleet and snow, have made for a surprising case of April showers.
People faced a tough commute this morning on the windy streets of Mass.
Videos on X (formerly known as Twitter) captured some of the high winds that shook trees and downed stoplights.
In downtown Boston, the financial district hit a few bumps.
Meanwhile, towns around the state saw snow, slush, and rough surf on this not-so-spring-like morning.
Downed trees were a major issue this morning. That, coupled with flooding, made for a tumultuous day. Videos and photos illustrate the chaos.
The nor’easter even reached Tik Tok.
