Update: Jennifer Lopez has cancelled her tour to “be with her children, family, and close friends.”

Jennifer Lopez is coming to Boston again — this time for a concert instead of for filming a Dunkin’ Donuts commercial.

One day before the release of her new album, “This Is Me…Now,” and a companion film tied to the album release, Lopez announced she is heading out on tour this summer, with a stop in Boston at T.D Garden on Wednesday, August 7 at 8 p.m.

The “This Is Me…Now” tour marks J.Lo’s first nationwide tour since 2019. Kicking off in Orlando on June 26, Lopez will visit more than 30 arenas across North America before wrapping up August 31 in Houston.

Appearing on the “Today” show to announce her new tour Thursday morning, Lopez told the show’s hosts that her tour will feature both hits from her early career and cuts off her new album.

“We’re going to do a bunch of new stuff, which I’m very excited about,” Lopez said. “I’ve already seen the stage, it’s gonna be epic.”

Lopez has been busy on the press circuit this week, both discussing “This is Me…Now” and her appearance in husband Ben Affleck’s Dunkin’ Super Bowl commercial. At the premiere of the companion film “This is Me…Now: A Love Story” in Los Angeles, Lopez tearfully thanked Affleck for inspiring her latest work.

“There is the person who inspired this for me, who has inspired me my whole life,” Lopez said, welling up. “He just, he inspired an album 20 years ago — and I know he hates that I’m doing this right now, he’s like, ‘Please shut up.’ No! And I say no. I say, I love you and thank you for believing in me and helping me believe in myself. And helping me to grow every single day.

“Thank you for the family that we’ve created and our children and everything that you do for me,” Lopez continued. “You will never know what it is to be able to share this lifetime and have you be my love. Thank you.”
